Happy Spring! Well, sort of...

The weather has been really great over the past few weeks, and then... it packs up just in time for the long weekend. The Easter weekend was a bit of a bust weather wise, but is there any better excuse to sit in and drink lots of tea and eat cake? I certainly don't think so...
There has been a lot happening the the Bittersweet world, even some very secret squirrel plans! I will give you more information as things progress but am feeling really excited and positive that 2009 is going to be a great year for cake making and more importantly, cake eating! Yes, the worlds finances are falling apart and it's a very scary time for so many...but we still need to live for a today and be happy, even for just a few moments of everyday.

How about a nice slice of (virtual) cake and a cup of tea? See, don't you feel better already?

So many Birthdays in March and April! Here are a few of the yummys we delivered to comfort, I mean celebrate, with.

Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate cakes, this one with chopped chocolate covered almonds on top. So good.

Tart Lemon Drizzle Cakes

And for a very special birthday, we made little 4 inch square boxes with 4 mini goodies to be taken home after the birthday lunch. Very cute don't you think? I don't know why but I love anything in miniature...

Hope you are having a sweet start to your Spring! The new menu will be up this week, so check back soon.

What can I say?? The chocolate cake ordered (top photo) for my son's birthday was divine, but only came second to the wonderful unbelievable service offered by Bittersweet, everything I wanted was accommodated!! Thank you so much I would highly recommend you to anyone looking for quality cakes and amazing service!

Hi Arianna, just to say thank you again for Robbie's birthday cake. He absolutely loved it - in fact, he said it was the best cake he'd ever had and that it was "like a tapestry" with all the flavours working together! See, your cake even inspired an 11-year-old to be poetic! I thought it was fantastic too. Now, when's the next birthday in the family?!
